A slightly odd one amongst the Pistols bootlegs — a 7″ single released on S.T.P. Records.

Front and back carry the same design.
The early line-up is pictured in full, despite none of them having anything to do with this record.
The colour scheme brings to mind “Submission (DICK 1 / CARTEL 1)”.

It’s a pink vinyl, though the scan has come out rather darker than the record actually is.
Both sides carry a simple design with the label name and track title, and the artist is credited here as “Sex Pistols” as well.
✔️ Colour Variations
According to Discogs, there are seven colour variations of this record.
Red, blue, clear, pink, clear with black streaks, green, and one with no colour listed.
Quite a lot of effort for a label with only one release to its name.
Coloured vinyl does rather appeal to the collector in me.

✔️ Sleeve And Label Credits
The label reads Side A and Side AA, so in formal terms this is presumably a double A-side single.
A catalogue number of “0” isn’t something you see often either.
These things usually start at 001 or thereabouts, but as far as Discogs shows, STP-0 is the only release S.T.P. Records ever put out — so perhaps there was never any intention of a follow-up.
The sleeve gives “Revolution In The Classroom” the more prominent placing, and Discogs lists it first as well, but going by the matrix and the label, the actual A-side is “Schools Are Prisons”.
Not that the order makes much difference either way.
✔️ A Fake Pistols Single
These two tracks are credited to the Sex Pistols, but they are in fact The Ex-Pistols.
I was digging in a record shop when the sleeve caught my eye — the colours were hard to miss. I picked it up, didn’t recognise the titles, thought “these might be unreleased,” and bought it on the spot.
I didn’t know any of the background at the time, and I was in a period of collecting anything Pistols-related without really knowing what I was looking at, so I genuinely believed these were unreleased demos.
That said, the two tracks had been slipped seamlessly into various compilations put together by early producer Dave Goodman — bootlegs and reissues alike — sitting alongside genuine early recordings…
These days a quick search would settle it.
As they say: “Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?“
