🧷 Pressing / Variant Details

✔️ Disc (label side)

Matrix: SIRA 38

There’s what looks like a “Silver Rarities” logo, along with a “GEMA” mark.

✔️ Sleeve / Packaging

It’s a shame, because the music’s good — the photos really aren’t up to much.

✔️ Booklet / Insert

The photos inside are a bit blurry too, but they’re a slight improvement on the cover.

🧷 Notes from a Collector’s Perspective

Tracks 1–13: Lesser Free Hall, 4th June 1976. No Fun from the encore isn’t included.

Track 16: 100 Club, 29th June 1976.

✔️ Silver Rarities

Silver Rarities was a label active mainly in Europe during the bootleg boom of the 1990s. It seems to have released live recordings by a range of punk and rock artists under the same logo, as part of an ongoing series.

On the right-hand side of the disc, there’s a catalogue number: SIRA 38. SIRA is presumably an abbreviation of Silver Rarities, with 38 being some kind of sequential number.

Then there’s the GEMA mark. GEMA is the name of a German copyright collection society (Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte). On legitimate releases, it indicates that royalties have been paid — though it crops up on plenty of bootlegs from this period too.

At a guess — and it is only a guess — it may have been a way of making bootlegs look more like legitimate releases, helping them pass unnoticed in shops or at customs. Not something I can confirm, though, so take it for what it’s worth.

🧷 Next Time

Next up is the semi-official release Pirates Of Destiny.

See you then!
